The Australasian Bat Society Inc. is proud to announce that its 19th biennial Conference and Annual General Meeting will be held at the Distinction Hotel in Te Anau, on the South Island of New Zealand, from 8 to 10 March 2020.
The conference will include an exciting program of talks and posters on a wide range of bat-related topics, presented by researchers, conservationists and other bat enthusiasts from across the Australasian region. The formal conference program, coupled with an invigorating mix of social events, field sessions, and informal discussions, will captivate and inform 100-140 conference delegates over the three-day conference and associated pre-conference welcoming function and post-conference field trip.
The conference is being held at the Distinction Hotel in Te Anau. The town of Te Anau is nestled on the south-eastern shore of Lake Te Anau, with a spectacular backdrop of beech forest clad mountains, and is the gateway to Fiordland National Park with vast wilderness areas and popular tourist destinations.
Join us, and enjoy the natural beauty that Te Anau and surrounds have to offer.
We look forward to seeing you!
