This workshop is the first in a series on threatened species of Australia combining art and science. The workshop includes a field trip to the Grey-headed flying-fox camp in Commonwealth Park on the Friday evening with a full scientific briefing from Belinda Wilson, ANU,  followed by a weekend art workshop with wildlife artist, Peter Wale, who will guide participants through various techniques to illustrate a grey-headed flying-fox. He will teach drawing skills and watercolour brush techniques to produce vibrant animal portraits.  Suitable for artists with drawing experience and use of watercolour. Beginners also welcome. A materials list will be provided on booking.


Workshop fee $330.
